A little bit of history

GardenWay was originally built in 1991 by Trevor and Mary Dickinson. In 1991 the Darra site was considered the outskirts of the Brisbane suburbs and was a central focal point for the area.

Over the years GardenWay developed into a leading Brisbane garden and homeware centre. GardenWay was a pioneer of the concept of combining a cafe, homewares, gifts, furniture, plants, pots and garden decor all in one magnificent retail centre.

In October 2007, Jason and Ashley Searle took over the business. Jason and Ashley have been familiar with GardenWay since it opened and both have extensive experience in gardening concepts. Jason and Ashley's philosophy for GardenWay is to build upon existing sublime concepts and styles as well as adding a new vibrancy to the store. GardenWay still remains a central focal point, servicing the entire western suburbs as a mecca for discerning gardeners, home and professional decorators and gourmets.

Jason and Ashley Searle's aim is to offer an enjoyable shopping experience where one can indulge in the latest garden & home styles and trends as well as being assured of the highest quality plants, potting mixes, giftware and customer service.

A testament to the philosophy and culture of highest quality merchandise and customer service, GardenWay recently won '2011 Best Large Garden Centre' in QLD and narrowly missed winning 'Best Large Garden Centre in Australia'.
